“It is an intentional, intergenerational community.People remember watching my son when he was three, and now he is a
teen.I watched teens as they played,
now I attend workshops with them as young adults. The friendships are so special from being together for just one
week.”
“I love going to UUMAC!My favorite
part is the Friday Night Showcase when we put on skits to show everyone what
we’ve been doing all week.I like
going to worship with my mom in the morning.” – a little UUMACer.
“It’s fun there.There is games,
there is carnival, there’s ping pong tournaments, the teacher is nice in
class the subjects get better every time.We work in nice rooms that seem like it’s college.” – a six year old,
been to UUMAC every year of his life.
“I like riding bikes and going white water rafting with my friends.” – a
five year old UUMACer.
“After our first UUMAC week in 2001, the kids didn’t even ask if we were
coming back… they just asked ‘when is it next year?’.We’ve attended every summer since then. UUMAC has become a family tradition.”
“I come to UUMAC because for 51 weeks a year my family lives in a big,
anonymous city.For one week each
year we live in the small, united community of UUMAC… we learn together,
play together… and grow together.”
“Summer camp for UU families, what could be better!”
