Blueberry Jam Workshop
Come jam out with Virginia Lawther! In this class you'll follow along at home or sit back and watch as we make a batch of blueberry jam. You'll also see how to preserve it without a canner.

What You'll Need
5 cups fresh blueberries
2 cups sugar
lime juice concentrate (if you don't want to juice your limes)
1 package powdered pectin (you can find this at most hardware stores this time of year)
6-8 clean mason jars or ball jars - with NEW lids and rings. Cannot seal with used lids.
2 large cook pots
zester or microplane
silicone spatula (optional, but helpful)
2 dish towels
If you do not have a canner, you can bring one additional tall cooking pot like a tall pasta pot. If you can cover your jars wtih 1-2 inches of water it will be tall enough. Lastly, very helpful (but optional) will be a canning tool set. The wide mouth funnel and the jar grabber are particularly helpful if you do see yourself trying to make jam or do other canning beyond the class.
