UUMAC 2022 Staff Recruitment

WEBMASTER

Updates and maintains the www.uumac.org website through WIX; works with the co-directors to update the site whenever necessary (Work ongoing throughout the year).

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR 

Keeps all UUMAC tech licenses up to date, maintains the Google Workspace suite, and supports the co-directors, board, and key staff with current recommendations about technology options. (Work ongoing throughout the year).

REGISTRAR

Designs and implements registration form for UUMAC; manages the registration process (provides technical support for registrants). (Work ongoing throughout the year, heaviest from February-June).

ENERGY TEAM COORDINATOR

Recruits team members; collaborates with Registar to identify newcomers; with Energy Team members plans activities/systems to welcome and support newcomers. (April-June planning/recruitment/prep; Sunday welcome events/gatherings; light daily work during camp). 

CAMP COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Handles the daily communication for UUMAC 2022, which usually includes a daily newsletter but can include other forms of communication at their discretion. (Planning April-June regarding communication methods; 1-2 hours work daily at camp beginning Sunday).

PUBLICITY AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Creates and distributes announcements and informational materials to current and prospective UUMACers. The coordinator should be comfortable with posting to various social media platforms, drafting emails, and creating graphics to help promote UUMAC throughout the year. (Work ongoing throughout the year).

PHOTOGRAPHY COORDINATOR

Creates the yearly photo directory with assistance from the registrar and takes photos throughout the week of attendees, workshops, etc. including the yearly UUMAC photo. (Work May-June with Registrar; light work daily during camp).

TECHNOLOGY/MULTI-MODAL COORDINATOR

Identifies which camp events might be streamed and/or recorded and supervises the streaming and/or recording during camp; supports the Minister, Theme speaker, and Music Coordinator with AV needs. (Planning/prep work before camp May-June; daily hours at camp).

MUSIC COORDINATOR

Directs and coordinates all music needs during the UUMAC week including in the daily services; leads the UUMAC choir. (Work with ministerial team and children’s program coordinator April-June, morning and later afternoon hours daily at UUMAC).

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Directs the children’s program (Preschool through 8th grade) at UUMAC; creates the program in line with the theme from the Theme Speaker. (Work with the ministerial team and music coordinator April-June, work at camp each morning 8:30-noon, plus other prep time onsite as needed).

CHILDREN’S PROGRAM TEACHERS

Lead the daily children’s program classes with the other teachers (3 per class). (Teacher prep meetings online in June plus leading class M-F from 9-noon, and supporting the classes during Showcase Friday evening).

YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Directs the youth program (grades 9-12) at UUMAC and creates the program in line with the theme from the Theme Speaker; also head teacher of the youth program. (Planning meetings online April-June plus leading youth group M-F and supporting the group during Showcase Friday evening).

YOUTH ADVISOR

Assists the Youth Program Coordinator in the planning and teaching of the youth program. (Planning meetings online April-June plus leading youth group M-F and supporting the group during Showcase Friday evening).

YOUNG ADULT COORDINATOR

Creates activities for UUMAC attendees ages 18-35 and helps to lead Young Adult Vespers. (Planning meetings online May-June including work with Energy Team to offer pre-camp zooms; light daily work at camp).

WORKSHOP COORDINATOR

Selects workshops and works with the co-directors to make sure that workshop leaders are informed and workshop spaces are accounted for; helps to coordinate workshop leaders in the annual Showcase. (Planning/prep work before camp, most intensive January-March, and light work at camp).

WORKSHOP LEADERS

Lead workshops during Monday to Friday of UUMAC and organize presentations for Friday night Showcase. (Planning/prep work in advance of registration (January-February), May-June submission of materials and class space needs, and work at camp M-F from 10 am-noon).

CHAPLAIN COORDINATOR

Recruits chaplains, meets with chaplain team and Minister of the Week before camp, creates daily on-call chaplain schedule for camp. (April-June recruitment and planning; coordination and participation in on-call rotation at camp).

ACCESSIBILITY COORDINATOR

Makes sure that attendees with special needs are accounted for and work with co-directors, dorm coordinator, offsite activities coordinator, etc. to make sure that needs are met. (Light daily work at camp).

FOOD SERVICE COORDINATOR

Makes sure that attendees with special needs are accounted for and work with co-directors, dorm coordinator, offsite activities coordinator, etc. to make sure that needs are met. (Light daily work at camp).

DORM COORDINATOR

Makes dorm assignments before UUMAC; serves as the contact for DeSales and attendees regarding dorm issues; coordinates Dorm Duty sign-up/coverage; assists DeSales’ staff handing out and collecting keys. (Most work in June with support from the registrar, light work after opening day). 

VESPERS COORDINATOR

Supports and coordinates each day’s Vespers Service; discusses space needs and time preferences with co-directors. (Work May-June to recruit and support Vespers leaders; light daily work at camp).

NIGHT OWLS HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR

Arranges drinks (non-alcoholic beverages) and snacks for Night Owls; sells these refreshments during Night Owls; leads Night Owls cleanup nightly with the Activities Coordinator. (Planning/shopping before UUMAC plus shopping during camp, and evening duties from after dinner through the end of Night Owls daily).

NIGHT OWLS ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR

Plans evening entertainment during Night Owls, which includes recruiting MCs and DJs as necessary; helps cleanup Night Owls with the Hospitality Coordinator. (Planning May-June plus work daily each evening at camp).

AUCTION COORDINATOR

Manages the annual UUMAC Auction; solicits donations of goods and services to be offered; recruits auctioneer(s). (Planning/promotion April-June; daily donation receipt and catalog preparation Sunday-Thursday).

OFFSITE ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR

Coordinates scheduled offsite activities, including events that require group reservations and prepayment during registration (water parks, white water rafting, etc). (Planning/prep work before camp, most intensive January-March, and some work daily at camp).

INTERGENERATIONAL
ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR

Plan and lead daily intergenerational activities for attendees; coordinate and lead the annual Friday night Showcase. (Planning/prep work May-June; light daily work at camp).
